I find it hard to believe that anybody would agree with how Salamoni handled that interaction if Sterling were their son. Regardless of Sterling’s previous history.

My son wouldn't be a homeless, convicted felon, selling "CDs" at 2 am.

Plenty of people think their sons wouldn’t do drugs, until they do.

Let’s not act like he was fighting with the cops while asking what did I do (in a calm manner).

We have all seen the out of control PCP criminal before. That is not what was going on.

The monday morning QBing is still in full force in this thread.

Sometimes shite happens in which there would have been a different outcome if all parties would have done just one thing different. Everytime something happens people expect the blame to be on one person (or group of people), but in reality things just didn't go perfect.

If AS wouldn't have pointed a gun at someone, that person wouldn't have called 911 and the cops wouldn't have gone to the convenience store to approach him.

If the police wasn't made aware that AS was possibly armed they wouldn't have approached him as aggressive as they did. Sure, they could have handled it different (I think. but I wasn't in their shoes so). In one video he is seen reaching for his pocket which so happened to have a gun in it. The police shot him when the other police made him aware he was reaching for his gun.

After he was dead, they pulled out a lot of cash and was in possession of drugs. The toxicology report showed AS had several things in his system that played a factor in the situation (being tasered).

So AS put himself in a situation involving the police.

All these Monday morning QBs would be sucking their thumbs in fetal position in back seat of cop car if they were to do a night ride with them in NBR.

I am usually on the side of the cops. If you don’t want to be in NBR in the middle of the night, don’t sign up for the job.

BR would have ZERO police if this was the case.

Happens all night, every night on Live PD....and they don’t act like Salamoni. Sterling wasn’t going anywhere.

Go find me ONE cop that says they enjoy going on a call about someone waving a gun around at 2 am in that part of town. I'll wait....

Let's be honest. If AS was arrested and detained, we all know Trudy White would have reduced his bail and he would be back on the streets again today.

Without a doubt. These pussies would be begging to run back to SBR after the first call.

Honestly I don't think Trudy could of done anything because it would have been a 3rd felony offense. I could be wrong but that mandatory life in prison I believe.

There are a lot that can get past that and handle the situation without acting like roid rage.

We train and pay our police officers to handle dangerous and difficult situations without just killing suspects. We should expect them to not escalate situations when a suspect has a firearm on them. No one should shed a tear an officer like Salamoni is off the force.

It looks like Lake got a raw deal here. If you want to be upset for a cop in this situation, look at that guy.

Still doesn't mean anyone enjoys or wants to go on those calls. Since BS worked that area, I would imagine that is not the first call he had ever gotten in NBR. Until watching the new videos, I would of been the first to tell you I don't believe he should have been fired. After watching, I have changed my tune but I side with the AG and DOJ that what he did was not criminal. Even had he not been fired, he could of never worked the streets in BR again anyway.

I am not. I knew like most that this would be the outcome for Blane.

After watching that video, the police really escalated that situation way out of control when they tazed him. He was on the car. They had him, but decided to taze him anyways. Alton didn't start struggling until after they tackled him. Now, you can see the moment he's shot when they're wrestling on the ground where the officer reasonably could have feared for his life, but it never should have come to that. Salamoni deserved to be fired for unreasonably escalating the situation, and deserved to be found not guilty for murder.
