Except the part where he pulled a gun on someone and threatened them.
Im referring to the interaction between Sterling and the cops. Lets stay on topic here.

Thank you. I'm glad that some can actually comprehend these things and come to a rational conclusion.

The takedown would not have been necessary if the person suspected of threatening someone with a firearm would have complied initially. How many times does this have to be fricking said?
I don’t know, because these people certainly don’t get it.
Was salamoni a little extreme? Yes, but again, they were en route to an armed man threatening people with a gun, hence why he rolled up like he did.
What if the cops took their sweet arse time, and when sterling saw them approaching, he took a hostage?
Apparently the cops are to assume that a 12 time felon possessing a gun, refusing lawful orders, and resisting arrest is an A-OK guy.

I literally agreed with that in my post thay Sterling was in the wrong. 2 wrongs do not make a right though.

Did Salamoni know it was going to be Sterling/or know it was Sterling when he rolled up from dealing with him on previous calls?

Are you saying that the very reason the police were called is not a topic that has anything to do with this? Seriously?

The surveillance video reminds me of the Rodney King video from 1992. If you compare just the two videos, it appears that the victims (King and Sterling) have done nothing wrong and are just ganged up on by the police. But, if you know the whole story, situations and understandings can change.

5. Can't see a move where it appears Sterling is reaching for anything. At first I was thinking Salamoni should definitely be up for manslaughter.

Sterling is the only one who coulda, woulda, and shoulda acted differently.
This firing was an inevitable course of action once Paul was hired.
I don’t listen to local BR talk radio much, but Clarence Buggs was spot on when asked if that was the reason Murphy Paul was hired. He said “I don’t think so, buti it certainly can be asked in a way that Broome knew how MP would handle the situation if hired.”
Broome may not have point blank asked MP if he would fire the cops in the interview, but she damn well knew what course of action he would take.

I get why the police was there. Sterling deserved to go to jail. He was in the wrong by all means.
But Sterling did not pull the gun on the cops, that is my point.

If the first wrong doesn't happen the second one likely doesn't either.

Were the officers supposed to wait for him to pull the gun on them before they shot?

JBE backs Alton ... what a shite governor we have

Not for a lack of trying. We can argue till we’re blue in the face about this, but the situation boils down to sterling doing enough things to give the officers reason to believe that deadly force was needed, and several agencies from the feds down agreeing with that sentiment.

Obviously, look no one is excusing Alton here. But that doesnt mean that the police is hereby untouchable in whatever they do just because the suspect was in the wrong.

But at least he didn't cheat on his wife. Isn't that why he got elected. What a joke.

You realize this case was extensively investigated by two agencies and no charges were filed, right?
