no, you are paying to be able to attend raging parties (mostly) and to have access to their networks once you leave school.
just being in a frat doesnt make anyone your friend.

It's not like this behavior from a southern frat should come as a surprise. But still, it's kind of one of those things where people have looked the other way for a long time. So IMO stuff like this should be called out on national media. Unfortunately the media wouldn't care if something like this was posted showing a black fraternity doing something similar.

No.
Why are people so immature? You pay for food, room/board, and for the parties which are fun as shite (and maybe connections after college which can help). Lots of people in fraternities have no friends and lots of people outside of fraternities have friends in them.
Does everything you pay for that has other members mean you're paying for friends? TAF? Country clubs? Professional groups? etc.

OU is a littlre more to a 1A violation than if SAE Nationals had done it, but everyone should read this about curbing Fist Amendment protections in public schools.

Both, and either way it's not a violation of the 1st amendment
First of all they are not prosecuting or arresting them.
Second of all the things they are saying could certainly be perceived as threatening, and possibly if not probably not protected by the 1st amendment

Just do what everyone else does and interchange the word "thug" or even "N-word".
While racism is a disgusting trait, condemning an entire group of people because they used a word you don't like is foolish.
It's quite amusing that if I were to use a racial slur at work I would be fired. The black ladies all say cracker and I don't bat an eyelash. Perhaps the next time it happens I'll make a huge stink.
My people were enslaved after all. They also experienced genocide. They were even relocated quite forcefully to another continent. Alas...no one cares because my skin is lacking melanin.

The entire point of the First Amendment eludes you. Read up on the Free Marketplace of Ideas. Wikipedia is a good place to start.
