Anyone in BR have one that they'd be willing to lend for a weekend? I can rent it, if you'd like something out of it.

The baws and I have a DIY solution that we're going to use, but would like a backup in case it doesn't work with the RV we rented.

Thanks!

I saw someone with a downspout with a 90 at the bottom to receive from the generator exhaust pipe.

Worked just fine.

There isn’t a whole lot to those things as all.

That's what I have. My main concern is that the fit won't be right. Additionally, I'm attaching the 90 d elbow to the downspout with a set screw coupler, which will be relatively airtight. Most designs I see have a gap between the elbow and the downspout to allow for air to inflow to cool and dilute the fumes. Do you think that will be an issue?

ETA: Also, the downspout I have is a 10' downspout that's a little heavy. Worried about the weight a little. I'm not sure if the RV we're renting has a generator exhaust support-bar underneath it or not.

You ever see that out there in the RV lots? I've thought about it as a quick plan-B if the first option doesn't work out - just dryer vent and bungee cords.

Yes, that'd be ideal. There were a few points I thought "screw it, let's just be done with it and get that," but I can't justify the cost for one weekend of an RV rental. The DIY option was about $35.

Thanks! Good to know. I believe there should be a little air intake between the exhaust and the 90 d elbow. They're also connected with a set screw coupler, but it's a 1.5", which I think will be bigger than the exhaust and allow some roof for airflow.

Suction cups

I knew I was forgetting something. I've heard you could maybe attach it to the rain "gutters," but again, it'd be safer to have the suction cups ready to go.

Or build a quick little 2x2 A frame to lean against it to hold it up

Say 8 ft high

They aren’t air tight. You’ll be fine if you just slip it over and bungee that bad boy to the side if the RV.

I think I'll do something similar to this - fill a Home Depot bucket with sand, and use a heavy metal stake to support it. Probably attach it using aluminum tape.

You will be compensated with the finest burgers and beers we have for lending us an RV exhaust. The only requirement is you have to say "what chu cookin??" when you first stop by the tailgate.

seems like a DIY version would be pretty easy to rig together. Just don't make the vertical pipe too wide and you should be fine. A 4" vent pipe should work fine.
