US already has a 6th gen prototype that has flown.
Its triangular, has no vertical stabilizer, and will run with a fleet comprised of 40% drones.
Link? Not doubting just want to read more.

LINK
The Navy has a separate program for their 6th gen fighter, they will not duplicate the F-35 issue.
So there are two separate programs and at least one has already flown.

According to Dr. Will Roper, assistant secretary of the Air Force for acquisition, technology and logistics, the US Air Force has “quietly built and flown a brand-new aircraft prototype” that could become its next-generation fighter, Oriana Pawlyk of Military.com reported.

The new aircraft has “broken a lot of records and is showing digital engineering isn’t a fluke,” Roper said.

Back in the late 50's into the early 60's, one of my great uncles flew B-29 and later B-36 bombers for SAC out of Fairbanks, Alaska. They would fly to the edge of Soviet airspace to test the Russian response. He said the MiGs would fly on their wingtips and both sides would be flipping each other off and cussing in each other's language. They would even start to recognize some of the Soviet pilots and give them nicknames.

The Russians do their own work. Unlike the Chinese.
They’re very budget driven though. If a weapon system doesn’t work well, or if it’s too expensive. They will cancel it.
That why most of their weapons are iterations of older designs. And it’s why they usually avoid cutting edge technologies. They don’t want to pay the premium.
They can announce this, but it doesn’t mean it will go into production, or that the MoD will buy it in quantity.

Russia has always lagged WAY behind the US in aviation engineering/technology. It might be their best fighter ever. It is likely equivalent to our best fighter 10+ years ago.
Russia typically uses what is proven to work, not what is “ cutting edge”, like their 1960s technology that transported US astronauts to and from the ISS for years, and with a impressive safety record.

Fixed now. Same story, different source. I just put two links in case someone doesn't like one of them.

Looks like a mash up of an f-22 and an f-35
Aerodynamics dictates that aircraft designed for the same operational envelope are going to end up looking very similar.

I think we've become conditioned to dislike the Russians because they're all white.

Who cares? Even if it is good they can’t build enough of them to frick with our Air Force.

It looks a lot better than Iran's 'King Me' fighter jet.

Within 10 years someone will be cut in half by one of those in an action movie.

Nothing about that image scares me.
Traditional jet exhaust means it is susceptible to common IR guided missiles
Does not appear to do a great job with radar redirection
anyone else think that wing is absurdly thin given the amount of lift it would have to generate?
This is not a remotely serious mockup, and it shouldn't be. No one gives away their secrets, especially for this type of weapon, until long after it's operational.
I give this mockup the same level of credibility as Iran's "stealth fighter." (I'm just referring to the mockup, not Russia's ability to design a fighter plane.)
