Hey guys I predicted every ncaa tournament winner on my bracket. I didn't show it to anyone before the tournament though. Just have to take my word for it. I promise I filled it out before the tournament.

These people will typically tell you that the Pope is the antichrist, Catholics worship false idols, and the Holy See is the manifestation of Satan's church on earth.

....what?
he is simply asking how you know that the prophecy written in the bible was actually written before the fall of Jericho

It was attempted transition from prophesy dealing with the ancients versus our modern world. It went deeper than this thread will allow. Probably my fault for attempting to bridge those points.

frick you're dense.
You're wasting your time. He's not going to get it.

And like I said, bust out some middle eastern history. It is recorded history accepted by all civilizations that were around then.

yes...the fall of Jericho is recorded history
we get that part
now back to the bible and when your prophecy was written...how do you know if was written before the event actually took place

wait, so now y'all think Isaiah was written after the fall of Jericho because you weren't there when it happened? How in the world do you believe in anything existing you haven't personally seen?

You do know that Islam has a base in Judaism and Christianity, right? Why would Muslims refute Jericho? Seems very counterproductive.

Of course I know that. What is amazing to me is you guys don't realize ancient texts have been carbon dated
Wait let me guess, they found papyrus from 2500 years ago and just forged Isaiah to make it look like Jericho was prophesied?
Y'all are some 9/11 truthers too aren't you? Sandy hook?

Isn't this you guys' de facto argument against evolution?
You realize no original biblical texts survive, right? There's no way of reasonably knowing who wrote the texts or if any changes were made.

you got actual scientific links to any of this?
I would love to read about an actual proven prophecy

I just want to say this. I attended Catholic school during middle school. If I recall, we when were studying the old testament, people in the class use to ask all kinds of questions "so if god created adam from scratch why did he have to borrow a rib from adam to create eve?" "why would god punish everyone who ever lived just because eve ate an apple she wasn't suppose to eat, but was tricked into thinking it was okay to eat?".. I could go one.
The teachers use to get frustrated as hell, but at one point I want to we were told that the Old Testament wasn't necessarily true, the stories in it were parables more than anything; stories used to help get a point across. With that said, I still don't think the bible is accurate. It was not written until hundreds of years after Christ died. Even today, imagine if someone decided to put together a book of specific events that took place in the 1500's.
This is just something to think about, but there is no point in continuing to argue about this. Everyone believes what they believe, the best thing to do is to just respect that and move on.

First, did you not see where I bolded "you guys don't realize?"
Second, I invite you to revisit how far back they were carbon dated to.
In one post you claim 700 years in the disparity of events of prophecy and occurrence, yet the range of the dead sea scrolls are much narrower in age.
