Going to sound retarded but the vibram five finger toe shoes are the ticket here. They are awesome water shoes.

I wouldn't label them "supportive" tho

I've got Teva water shoes and though I'd recommend for fishing, I couldn't run in them. I've got regular Brooks running shoes and I've run in them soaked with no socks. Only ever given me blisters in runs over 8 miles. Dry out in a day in the garage and ready to go again. I don't know of any specific "water shoe" that's a really good running shoe.

Stop running before it's too late.

Eliptical, Swimming Pool or anything with less stress on feet and knees.

Thank me later

Bleeding purple, on a completely unrelated note, how's the weather up in Athens? I have a deer lease up there, but haven't been up to refill my feeders in several months? Is it pretty dry? Last time I was up there, which was in December, my lease was under water.

I only included that info incase it made a difference in the shoe design. IDK, I'm not a runner in general, I'm prone to recurrent plantar fasciitis, and have a bad knee so I need a shoe that provides plenty of cushion.[/quote]

Well running is to high impact for bad knees-I have two-and I've had plantar fasciitis as well. Dr. Told me Brooks The Beast running shoes are best for plantar fasciitis and none were good for bad knees.

It is the only running shoe I wear and have several pairs so getting wet I just change to another pair. No foot problems in 5 years of wearing this shoe.

You need Brooks Beast shoes.

Most running shoes are designed for 5'8" guys that weigh 160#.

I replied to OP before I saw your post.

At 6', 200#, I'm not as big as OP, but the Brooks Beast shoes are excellent.

I'm not as tall but I'm as heavy.

Dr. Christian Hall - Halls Wall at Varsity Sports. I love the support of that shoe.

Have you thought about waterproof socks? I would not recommend them for long runs, but if this is just for a mile or 2 you could wear them with your choice of shoes

Seal Skin

I used a similar pair on my float hunt and they were worth their weight in gold
