Hey I think you were "disrespected". Mayor Broome needs to hear about this so she can set an example for any other BRPD guys that think they can just push people around. BR also has an upstanding citizen (large AA fellow with gravy stains on his shirt), that would love to hear from you but whatever you do....don't mention you are white and play golf.

For all the bs from other posters, I get the comment about the car and image presented to the officer. The officer could take one look and know he was prob there to use the park. Perhaps he thought the guy was pretentious and assumed he was special enough to drive around it. But like someone else said, what if he were young black guy in a chevy?
I'm a pro-police guy, but professional behavior must be maintained in an era of cellphone videos and YouTube. The cop had every right to question him, and the pro shop manager might've told him the wrong advice. This day and age, though, the attitude serves no one well, assuming this is true. What if this guy were a BREC superintendent coming in to observe the event? How about just say, "Excuse me, sir, can you please explain why you moved the barricade?"
