Rules for annexation into City of St. George?

This is assuming the City of St George is created. What are the rules for an unincorporated area to be annexed into St George? To be clear I’m talking about areas that were in the proposed map of St George the first time but are no longer included since the proposed map got smaller. I assume a petition would have to be circulated?

I'm not sure but I don't think that's necessary if you have unanimous support from all the property owners. At least that's how it works when incorporating commercially zoned property. The residential stuff I'm not sure about and it might be different.
You'd probably be better off not being in the incorporated area because you'll potentially pay lower city/parish taxes but would be in the new school district if one ever exists. Basically the city and the school district are two separate things that have no legal bearing on one another.
I don't think they'll form a new school district, but if they did it would absolutely include more than just the incorporated area of St. George, in order to get the parish-wide votes. That's just my opinion.

A certain percentage of signatures on a petition requesting annexation has to be obtained. The exact number escapes me.
