It has to be more embarrassing for the crown. Kate Middleton despite being a commoner was a tough least from the UK. Markle is an American with significant baggage.

I don't get the fascination with the "Royal family."
They aren't inherently special. They're just descendants of wealthy people that told everyone they're special. I don't know why they have any more influence than other wealthy people.

I have never and will not ever follow any news of any royal wedding or any celebrity wedding.
There are way too many pimple, blackhead, and cyst popping videos on YouTube to enjoy! And, not to mention earwax removals as well!

In the 20th century the royal family still played a pretty big role in public life and in some major events of the century, and some of them will be involved Saturday (queen).
So I think royal family is mildly interesting in that way, but it won't be for much longer. Told wife if she makes food and has alcoholic beverages I'll watch, otherwise I'm sleeping through it.
