All it takes is a single cashier on duty who has a concealed carry permit and who utilizes it correctly and that shite is over.

How would they "utilize it correctly?" A cashier with a CCW should know it's best to just comply unless the gunman is actually shooting. I see no point in putting their job and others' lives at risk to save the employer from losing cash, only to be fired immediately afterwards.

There are too many junkies out there that I'd really consider it

Taking the statues down was a crime too after the people received the actual bill for the expenses.

I do but it's against my company's policy. If I need to use it, I'll be unemployed but hopefully still alive.

Edit: I absolutely would rather the junkie get away with whatever they want versus being in a situation where I'm firing my weapon in a crowded area under duress.

Smart move. Alive and unemployed beats the alternative.

Cue the people who don't care about the crime in New Orleans before and continue to not care now (CapperVin).

Maybe it's because I know obviously this current system with our politicians won't change or address it, hopefully the next will actually try to make the city change.

It won't, because the people of new orleans will continue to vote for democrats who refuse to do anything about it.

The only way you see any change is if there is a decline in tourism.

Until that point, NOLA residents are perfectly content with being in the top 50 most dangerous cities in the world.

if they felt that their life was in danger, then killing the robber would be correct use of the weapon. whether you lose a minimum wage job or not really should have no bearing on what you have to do to keep yourself alive. whether or not the store loses cash is totally irrelevant.

I have had the distinct pleasure of working on a job site in the middle of the ghetto since May. I carry my CCW in before anyone else gets there, and carry it out after everyone else leaves. My 2 bosses on site do the exact same thing. No one talks about it, but no one bitches about it either..

I'd rather be alive to job search if need be.

There are so many possible scenarios; my point is that the armed robber usually wants to have their demands met quickly and flee without shooting. It's almost always safer for you and others around you to comply, but I do agree with you that there are situations that would require shooting the perp.
