Never said you did not have to yield when entering the circle. Nor do you yield when leaving. But the blinker signifies your intent to leave the circle, allowing someone else to know you're doing so, allowing them to get a head start which increases efficiency.

They had a road project in Mobile that took over 2 years paving, putting in bike lanes, sidewalks and a roundabout. The first day the road reopened some idiot drove over the the shrubs in the middle.

Once you realize that all you have to do is look to your left and if nobody is entering the roundabout from your left, don't stop and keep trucking

And if somebody on the right hits you and causes a crash in the process of not slowing down, just pretend like you're dying and call 911 and get a check.

How can a grown arse person not understand how they work?

I mean join your local "whats happeing in ___" group on facebook and listen to people complain about the local drivers, then read the comments. Its' scary how many people have little concept of the rules of the road.

If I ever get hit by someone, I'm going to immediately download their entire post history on fb, insta, x, etc... and see if they made any posts about illegal driving habits, then hire morris bart.

This person has been driving for many years and truly did not know how a stop sign works.
"They walk among us" but we forget that they "Drive among us" too.
This is why I don't trust the accuracy of a turn signal on a car moving toward me

The down voters likely thought it meant using a TS when entering, that's why none of 'em had enough balls to comment.

A quick blink tells the driver approaching the entry to the roundabout that I'm exiting, so he can proceed, and barely pause, thus speeding up his entry.

But most Louisiana drivers can't comprehend zipper merge, much less turn signals.

zipper merge,

For sure don't do any future planning or mirror checking, hit the brakes and nudge your car over, slowing down both lanes.

Zipper merge works when people continue at speed, it is a fantasy fix when everyone ignores "lane ends merge left. Lane ends, merge left. Lane ends merge left." shite! hit the brakes and merge!

I get zipper merge on 35mph roads for construction, but it's completely unrealistic on high speed roads.
