I keep seeing the commercial and curious of anyone here has experience with them. Currently with Progressive but my rate has gone up $73 over the past 3 years despite no accidents/tickets.
Currently above state limits with 500 deductive for collision and comprehensive with 2k medical coverage

Do you have uninsured/under insured coverage?

Are they the people who "only insure good drivers?"

Yeah, screw them. Reminds me of that pseudo-Christian faux insurance that won't pay for crap if it's caused by something "non-biblical." In both cases you see people trying to run an insurance company while completely missing the point of, you know... insurance.

Obviously, and I should have $73 a month in 3 years. So almost $900 a year

Not good, I'm in the process of shopping around as my new quote increased again to the $73. It went up $37 from last year. I called and was only told certain discounts were no longer applicable and rates increased in Louisiana

Progressive offers some of the better rates I’ve seen in LA.
LA insurance is expensive.

Progressive and Geico are probably the best bets. Usually. If you have over minimum limits sometimes other companies are better.

Currently with Progressive

However I'm up to 203 a month with the latest quote/renewal. Like I said I haven't had a ticket in 10 years or and accident in 10. So my original quote included both but my newest quote should not.

That ticket/accident you was a careless operation as I lost control on a wet road from speeding and ended up in a ditch.

This is my experience, as well. We are currently with Geico, and they had the best quote for my son, too.

My experience with car insurance in LA is that no matter the driving record, each company will continually jack your premium up until you switch to another company. We usually end up switching every couple of years.

That's what I've done, was with Geico when my accident happened, two years after they jacked up my rate so I switched to State Farm and after a few years Progressive

Do you have any idea what they mean by this or how they determine their rates? Or are you just making crap up?

Just left Liberty Mutual after they increased our rates on a 2 vehicle policy because "you aren't eligible for the accident forgiveness discount because your wife was in an accident. Even though it wasn't her fault."
Went up over $2000 per year.

Obviously
Why is that obvious? Your OP didn't say that.

How old are you? Do you not know that insurance companies make an attempt every year to raise rates based on actuarial data by applying to the insurance commissioner? It's very possible that everyone's rates went up, not just yours.

Consider yourself lucky that it's so low. Carrying just the bare minimum will be a real comfort to you when you are at fault in a fatal accident and get sued to oblivion.

Considering I have above state limits and all obviously I would have uninsured. Considering it has gone up $73 a month over 3 years is a bit much. Since that is 900 a year when I haven't had an accident/ticket in years. $203 a no the is "low" that sounds a bit crazy

I work for Allstate and they just laid off a ton of corporate employees so that they could start lowering rates.

I have three cars and a bike. Carry 500/300/500 with matching uninsured/under insured and with $250/$1000 deductibles and a $1 million umbrella. With a teenager, even though she's in college, my insurance is over $500 a month. If she wasn't on it, it would be about $250 a month.

We have too many assets at risk not to get excess coverage.
