So what's the absolute newest model?

We have a dog so got the XV-21. It has a rubber blade agitator instead of bristles, so hair doesn't get wrapped up in it. We've had it for ~2 years and only had one problem; sent it back and they sent us a new one with no hassles.

I have the XV-21. They're really all pretty much identical except for the color, the brush, and the filter, and the brush and filter can be upgraded at any time.

The high end model might have a different vacuum motor, but on hard surfaces, the XV-21 does just fine. I have no first hand experience with the higher end models.

I have a door threshold that splits the house in two. It really is absurdly large and the Neato high-centers on it (There is a limit to what it can crawl over. I'm thinking about picking up a second one for the other side of the house.

ETA: Just ordered the second one from Woot.

Just ordered mine from Amazon! The XV-21. I'll bump this thread after I use it for about a week or so.

I'll order mine in a couple weeks after my birthday comes. I'm certain someone is going to give me another Amazon card that I'll use.

Thanks for the info.

I went with the new one. I'm too skeptical of refurbs when it comes to something like this.

I can't wait to try mine out. if you don't mind waiting on it the best deal so far is the one from woot.

Yup, I ordered the one from woot earlier. Can't wait to try it on my bedroom. Under my bed probably hasn't been vacuumed since my last Roomba died.

We got the Roomba780. It had the best reviews because of the improvments made to the battery. We have a dog that sheds all the time, and this thing makes it to were its not even a worry any more. I was skeptical at first but I am sold. Getting a roomba was alot like when I got my first zero turn mower. I was skeptical but once I started using it, I dont know how I lived with out it.

Dammit this thread is making me want a Neato. We have 2 dogs(pug and lab mix) that are shedding monsters right now. We have ceramic tile in most of the house(except bedrooms) and I'm vacuuming 3 times a week to keep up with the fur tumbleweeds they leave behind, and it still seems like not enough.

Ive been wondering for a couple of weeks now that if I moved into a larger house. How would having 2 roombas go over. I wonder if they would work together or would it be it like bumper cars and monster jam up in the living room.

2 levels or one? You could set them up with lighthouses to define their areas and they would never cross paths.
