Looking for a Roomba to cover about 2500/sqft with area rugs... I can't imagine that just because it's the 900-series Roomba, it's the best...

Hit me with it...

TIA

Roomba has no pattern. It runs around bumping into shite.

Neato scans the room and cleans in a methodical manner.

So which "Neato" should I look into?

I was concerned about the haphazard 'sweeping' of Roomba... but if Neato is a better 'scanner' of the space, then let me know which model to buy for sure

Depends on your needs hoss.

I have the XV 21 signature and it does everything I need, which is clean the house.

If you need it to connect to wifi and all that shite look at the newer models.

If I bought one today, I'd get the cheapest with the new battery in it. Which I think is the D3 or D5, they have the specs on their website.

I have an 800 Series roomba and it does well. I typically close off the bed rooms and bathrooms and let it run just in the kitchen, dining, Living, and hallways 3 times a week. I have no complaints. Just remember that the more random rooms it runs in, the more likely it is to disappear, lol

I hated ours. It was awful. It beat the heck out of baseboards and was a general PITA. It's been a few years though so maybe they are better now.

We purchased a lower model and it didn't do very well so we brought it back and got the 900 series and its been great! the best gift I have ever gotten my wife. It cleans our entire house (2500 square feet) and cleans well. We like to put it in our RV as well and it cleans it in about 15 minutes.

It's like yelling at your kids to go vacuum. You can tell it to clean from work or the from the bar before you bring that piece of arse home to your filthy one bathroom efficiency apartment that was advertised as city view, but is really just looking directly into the building next door. Which you thought would have a hot chick possible living there that is careless with her curtains, but instead is just a middle aged pencil pushers that spends most of his days staring at his door trying to pick his nose before his secretary walks back in.

The 900 series is amazing as long as you don't have any high rugs. It will not go onto our high rug but it cleans our low rugs like a champ. The floors are usually quite clean when we get home from work after it ran for a few hours during the day. It probably gives the cat headaches but frick that little bitch.
