Gonna call BS on that.
Call on me with a rolex on and I immediately think you charge too much for what you are trying to do!
I don't notice shoes unless they are in such bad shape they stand out.
I do own a pair of imperials that are 25 years old, a pair of AE loafers that are several years old and my lace up boots are Red Wing rangers BUT I own those because of clear quality differences that make economic sense. Very few people would look at my shoes and know they are high priced shoes.
Rolexs and Omegas do not have quality differences that are of any economic value to me. They are jewelry.
Might as well get you some gold chains too if you need a rolex for your ego.

Omega, but I lean Speedmaster. Seamaster would be in consideration, though.

No jewelry bracelets for this guy...straps with oversized spring bars.

Rolex. Mine is not a submariner, but I have worn it for 32 years without a problem.
Same here. I wear a pie pan dial Datejust with the open 6's and 9's. It functions perfectly.

Meh. I'll have one one day, once I feel like I've "made it." I've always like watches and always wanted a submariner. It'll be a big deal for me when I can afford it and it will be 100% for stroking my ego. My $850 watch reminds me of when i was in college and dreaming about the day i could afford to spend $850 on a whim. Hopefully the rolex will remind me of the times I wished i could spend $8500 on a whim. Glad to know people at work will start thinking I charge too much for my services once I get one

My boss wears a Timex for that very reason. We're an engineering service company and he's had clients bad mouth other contractors for this exact point.
Now, $850 watch should have better style than the OP watches...that's a given.

This is insane to me but whatever.

I know some sales guys who make it a point to not wear a rolex for those reasons and I get it.

Give me a no date sub. Why would anyone choose the Omega?
Posted on 4/30/18 at 12:35 pm to HotKoolaid
Yup, I tried to tell him there were cooler watches without the big name and he actually wants the Timex name. It's not terrible looking.

Why wouldn't anyone choose the Blancpain I posted? It's WAY nicer than the two OP watches...albeit more expensive.

Right, most people who would shite on spending 5k on a watch will drive a vehicle with a 1k car note
In 30 years that watch will be worth more than the car.

Uh, that's a $10k+ dive watch with a sapphire bezel that is MONEY.
Company makes watches that dwarf Rolex in price.

If they dont I can just steal one

It's reality. No one is buying from you because of the watch you wear, unless you wear something cliche expensive. Then they won't buy from you.

It's too damn big for me. 40mm is pushing it for my wrists.
