Driving on I-70 in Utah saw a couple of eagles (assume they were going after other road kill and got hit).

After Hurricane Opal came though east Alabama I saw a cow on the side of I-85 between Auburn and the Georgia state line.

Here in the NE Atlanta suburbs it's mostly deer but a few armadillos, squirrels, turtles.

I’ve seen a few raccoons that died from drinking to much bud light. Damn thing laying there with the bottle resting on his stomach.

Yeah larger animals can cause alot of damage.

I own several semi trucks that I have to outfit them with "guard bumpers" because deer will ruin a front end quick. $$$. That bumper will take a lick from a large animal and not a scratch will happen and the truck keeps on rolling.

Why did the chicken cross the road? To show the possum it could be done.

dead owls on the hwy in Montana. Haven't sen many elsewhere.
interesting. The owls fly down to get road kill or?

I've seen a couple Hawks probably get caught in the wind sheer(high winds) of a busy hwy and get hit by a vehicle and all you see is their wings spanned out and dead on the road.

Imagine driving into a low, verylarge, moving black cloud, like a fog hugging the road.

Mostly squirrels here in the burbs. No offense Madam <3

I used to get sad when I saw roadkill, until I realized the crows and turkey vultures feed on carrion. Circle of Life and shite

I reckon they are going from one body of water to another in their territory.

Turkeys

They really mess up a vehicle, especially if they hit the windshield

That reminds me of a crazy story from a friend of mine.

A friend of his wife was driving back to the Auburn area and hit a vulture with her SUV, it gets stuck in her grill. Single mom, special needs kid in the car, she freaks out and drives on home. Gets home and the bird is still alive. Calls my buddy, he and some friends go over and every time they try to get close enough to get the bird loose it is biting at them, doing that whole vulture vomit defense. They finally call the Auburn Raptor Center and get someone out there with the gloves and such to free the bird and take it in to care for it until it was released back to the wild.
