There are massive houses in RR, but there's one house in river ranch that is stupid big. I remember thinking it was a hotel the first time we passed by it. It has like pointed spires at the top of every peak on the roof.

I would consider many houses in RR to be buttafaces

The BR job had better benefits and would pay OT on top of the equal base salaries. Also, the Houston job would have required regular trips to middle of no-where North Dakota and West Texas. SO is also in Baton Rouge for one more year at LSU.
If the Houston job had payed more, I possibly would have taken it because it was located north of town (between Magnolia, The Woodlands, and Conroe) and I really liked the Woodlands when I visited.

I prefer Sugar Mill Pond
I was just there a couple of weeks ago for a free outdoor show and then hit Corner Bar. Weather was perfect and we had a fun night.
I also enjoy going to River Ranch, mainly Tap Room for some good beers and sometimes a good band.

A lot of RR houses are gaudy, ugly, monstrosities but there's some cool areas.

Like the one with cherubs carved into it?

Yeah, I think I've seen that one. Statues in general are just a bad idea. I just want to ride around ask some people what the hell they were thinking.

[quote]Lafayette has a few nice neighborhoods. East Bayou Parkway and West Bayou Parkway are both nice. [quote]
We just moved into this area. Houses are tough to come by but it helps that my wife is a realtor

Understand that. You had all the reasons to be In BR, just sucks you have to. So ready to move.

Tell me about it. BR was like my 5th choice post-grad city. I was hoping for Lafayette, New Orleans, the Northshore, or Gonzales (my parents live in St. Amant). My job might take me elsewhere, but I'll likely stay mostly between Norco and BR.

You can be sure though that he'll try to claim it if it's at all humanly possible.

I don't believe the Tap Room has bands anymore. The people that live in the condo above them complained. One of the challenges of mixing commercial and residential in the same building I suppose.

The Dagos and the Micks haven't been at war with each other in a long time. It's OK to say "median".

They're apparently building another one in "Upper Lafayette".
The same developers are building a huge development in Lake Charles by the McNeese farm off of 14. I drove around it the other day and they have some of the roads and traffic circles in already. Nit sure when it kicks off though.

I know I can go into Broussard/Youngsville like every other person
I work with and manage a lot of repo properties for various banks.
Every now and then the banks will ask me to send some of my people to Laffy to help them out on some properties. It seems like most of the request we get are in Youngsville. Tons of people losing those McMansions apparently.
We get requests for houses all over the Laffy area, RR included, but not nearly the volume that we do for the Youngsville area.
