I like CC, but his version of those 3 songs are not better than the original, and would not have made them as popular as they are

This sucks.
The first time I heard Loud Love and Hands All Over was life changing for me.
Room A Thousand Years Wide is criminally underrated.

Chris Cornell had the best vocal of any rock band in the 90's and 2000's. SO best vocal in alternative.

Loved me some Temple of the Dog back in HS. RIP, Chris.

Outshined
Rusty cage
Drawing flies
Slaves and bulldozers
Tighter and tighter
Zero chances
The day I tried to live
Black days
All the stuff in TOD and audioslave. Man this man was a rare talent.

REM would have been incredible with Cornell
I guess I just have a hard time hearing Chris Cornell singing "It's the end of the world" and it sounding good

I'll be honest, its a miracle he made it to 52.

So sad and surprising to learn of this. Something had to have been going on or he was hiding something if this was a suicide. You don't typically see suicide for people of this age...If it actually was a suicide, then he must have been struggling to deal with something and keeping it from everyone, because nobody suspected this it seems.

I would pay to see him perform shiny happy people with Courtney love.
