The amazing thing about it is no matter what he did, now he’s dead and he died relatively early too. All that work and all that money, doesnt mean jack!
Yeah it’s crazy to think all that time he spent trying to alway make more money and it’s just over like that.

Have heard this story. Have never heard someone say they were fired this way.

When someone fabulously wealthy dies I always think he has less material wealth than the poorest man now, and yet he may very well also be richer today than he was when he was alive.

Few people get to that position in life and accomplish the things he did without ruffling a few feathers and breaking a few eggs along the way. Love him or not, you’ve got to respect the game.
Horse shite. You can be a driven, ruthless, cunning tycoon without being a complete cocksucker to people. Especially the people who work for you.
His rudeness wasn’t a product of his business acumen. It was rooted in his abhorrent belief that he was better than others.
Face it. The guy was a dick.

Is his wife a nice person? Asking for a friend.

Jim’s BO reads like a rags to riches life but his dad was dialed into BR capital politics.
His latest venture - Tiger Energy Partners - was forced onto CenTrio after Bernhard lost the bid to upgrade LSU infrastructure. Smelled like a political favor.

I’ve never heard anyone say anything good about him. Yet now on Facebook it’s nothing but great things. Just an awful person.

This is what I heard as well. People avoided the elevator.

Do YOU have any first hand knowledge of someone fired in the elevator?

I heard he asked a girl to drive to the airport to pick someone up. She hesitated to respond and he fired her after a few seconds on the spot. Turns out, poor girl didn’t own a car.

No but I know a story about an employee drinking Starbucks coffee when he provided a different brand for his employees. Mellow Joy I think.
He suggested that if she can afford Starbucks he must be paying her too much.

No one thinks to ask how she lived in BR without a car?
All I have learned from this thread is Shaw hired a bunch of idiots who don't ask the second question. 500 people fired in the elevator and no one has met one of them.

Former Shaw employee who told me the story watched it happen. Maybe she and everyone else in the thread is lying and he was a great guy.

So again....no first hand account.
Any incident in S. La. Happen and we have 4 posters with cameras and first hand knowledge. Shaw shenanigans....
I don't doubt he was an a-hole. Just saying this is the same bullshite old.wives tale I have heard for 20 years with no one coming forward to say it first hand.

I can’t confirm any of the negative stories I’ve heard about him but I also have never heard anyone say anything positive about him in a personal way.

Correct. You want me to text the person who watched it happen and have them make an account here and post about it?

Yep. It’s probably all just made up bullshite for… reasons. That’s plausible.

Sure. Im betting they heard it from someone who was really on the elevator. Or else why would they have not been fired too?

I mean, yeah, pretty much how office rumors go.
Again...no first hand accounts.

Wasn’t on the elevator.

So my original point of the elevator story is supported by your story that you don't know someone fired on the elevator.
