Could actually be a good class. South Park has some really intelligent satire on current events.
Agree. The course would sound better if it weren't titled South Park. Should call it something like "Contemporary Social Issues In Popular Culture" (and maybe include other cartoons like The Simpsons).

Theories of International Politics and Zombies
World war Z, Shaun if the Dead, and of the Harry Potter movies were required viewing. I can’t rememeber which Harry Potter.
It was a cool class mostly about how pop culture has the ability to impact things in the world, but it was ruined by a student aid that was determined to make people understand the class wasn’t a “gimme class.”
She sucked.

took an English 2000 class at LSU that was nothing but watching and analyzing horror films.
That’s legit.

My 2nd English class at LSU was amazing.
We studied Britney vs. Christina the 1st half of the semester then completely broke down & analyzed Fight Club the 2nd half.
It was legitimately the only course I took at LSU in which I did not miss a single class.

I took the same class! Our last film was Last House on the Left. Helluva film to end with. Yikes.

I guess PE isn’t required anymore but back when I was in college, you had to take 4 semesters of it. Mine, as I recall, were basketball, weightlifting, golf and swimming. I think they were only one hour courses so they didn’t do a lot for your GPA.

Ballroom dance from Dale Brown’s wife! Actually, an excellent class. She was legit. Also aerobics 101. Got credit for exercising two hours a week.

In the 70’s at LSU, I took a class called “Football 101”. The teacher was wrestling coach Larry Schacatano” and consisted of knowing the rules , dimensions, nuances of football. On lab day we would punt, pass, and , kick. The funny thing is we had an all SEC lineman in the class that couldn’t do any of the three. Final exam was a flag football game. 1 credit

In the 80's at LaTech my GF and I and one of our mutual female friends took an elective Geology Elective on Oceans and Marine Biology.
Took a field trip to the then newly constructed La. Marine Consortium in Cocodrie, went out on the trawler catching fish and picnic on a beach. Most of the class was slideshow of the professors work in Antarctica and the Pacific. I remember the shark slides from his dives gathering samples from the A-bomb tests on atolls in the 50's. He could only be exposed (dive or walk the islands) for short periods of time as the places were still highly radioactive.
We also learned the movement of molecules in an ocean wave.

I took a class at the U of AL titled "Drug and Alcohol Use in America".
I did a lot of experiments for that class.

Not as egregious as some of the others, but I enjoyed my walking class
Our final was we had to walk 3 miles in under 45 minutes. Clocked in at just over 42 while hungover
