Richard Sigman, University Professor, apparently just kills someone at random

This is the third time I have hear of something like this happening and each time it has been someone of high degrees, like PhDs in Math or something.
I have to wonder if something is not wrong with the way training is done for people in these areas that makes them "snap"?
Now, there is no proof of this, it is just speculation, and it very well could be the random person shot will turn out to be related to him.
Or maybe he was plastered drunk.

Many high achievers are on the spectrum, more prone to being sociopaths and such.
People snap because they're unfulfilled and lost. They kill because they don't value life.

“I was shocked,” said Glosson. “I didn’t think that a professor from West Georgia would do that.”
But those bastards that teach at Ga Tech do stuff like this all the time.

He's talking about a professor, not someone who has achieved something.

Did he forget a student’s pronouns?

Or, perhaps, professors are just as human and fallible as the general population?…even if we assume less so than the general population, why is it so strange to hear about a PhD doing something like this every once in a while?
Edit: Logically speaking, the only group of PhDs that you should naturally assume would not commit murder…ever…would be criminology profs, seeing as how they should know by now that they can’t get away with it.

Police said Richard Sigman, a professor at University of West Georgia, got into a verbal altercation with another man at Leopoldo’s. The man told security that Sigman threatened to shoot him.

When security approached Sigman, they saw a weapon and told him to leave. Sigman left, walked toward the parking deck and started shooting into a parked vehicle. That’s when the victim, Anna Jones, was struck by a bullet.

What makes you think that?
Have you read his manifesto? Didn’t sound crazy to me.

This university is where I went. This professor according to his linked in had many failed businesses’ and then decided it was easier to teach people about entrepreneurship rather than being a successful entrepreneur. It’s a small and quiet town that I’m sure is rocked with this.
While I was in school a girl was abducted from the Walmart and it made headlines news. I’ll see if I can find that article and edit this post.

Richard Sigman was a professor of Business Management. That godless business management.
Rate my Professor reviews for Sigman.

I remember a UA-Huntsville professor murdered some other professors a while ago.

Amy Bishop. Wash-our tenure track professor. She wasted most of her tenure track position writing a shitty novel instead of doing actual research. She was up for her yearly renewal and by the end of the faculty meeting she realized her name wasn’t on the list of renewed professors and she was likely fired. Shot and killed 3 professors in the room.
Edit: She also killed her brother 20 years before when she was a kid in Massachussetts. Wasn’t widely known about because the juvenile court sealed her records.
I had a high school bud who was going to UAH at the time and was in the building when it happened.

There was a biology professor named Amy Bishop at the University of Alabama in Huntsville who killed three of her colleagues during a biology faculty meeting in 2010. Three others were injured. Afterward, it was also determined that her accidental fatal shooting of her brother in the 80s was actually a murder.
Edit: Undercover beat me to sharing this story.

No biggie.
I’ll just also add that Bishop was an expert at conning her way to the tenure-track position she was on. True, she had a PhD from Harvard, but according to one source, her dissertation was of poor quality.
In addition, she conned the UAH President into praising her patented “cell incubator” which most experts in her field who had reviewed it saw as “unnecessary” and “expensive.”
She seems like someone who did just enough to make her resume look good, which was just enough to get as far as she did, but when her work was put under the heavy scrutiny of the tenure awarding committee, her bullshite was finally smelled out.
