it just seems, that for whatever reason, there are some AA's that have this HUGE self-placed chip on their shoulder.....
i mean look, yes, for the longest time, AA's were prejudiced against, and in some cases it's still there, but to think that every white person you come across feels superior just because is ignorant and so very misinformed....

I don't understand this culture of anger and blame. I can't comprehend how people like this will ever function in the real world. The cynicism, bitterness, and apathy of this generation is troublesome.

I love the comments I bet she looks at all this, including the comments on the reveille section and believes she is just an oppressed beacon of hope in an otherwise racist place. That she's just higher than us morally.

Dear Logan,
I fricking hate the term "reverse racist".
The word racist has a negative connotation, so (to me) saying you are a reverse racist almost has a positive spin. You are not reverse racist. You are a plain and simple racist. No different than any white dude riding around with a white hood over his head setting crosses on fire. In my opinion, you are a far worse kind of racist because you spew your verbal diarrhea all over a university newspaper in attempt to fan the flames.
Congratulations, you're not helping anyone.
It's 2015. It's time for people to start taking ownership of their shortcomings without looking for another group to blame. The oppression you speak of is a joke. The government has made sure of this by creating programs designed to only aid minorities. Nobody else. Qualified applicants for jobs, high school kids seeking scholarships, and many others be damned if they are not a minority.
Each individual person is in charge of his/her own destiny. You want more minorities in LSU? Tell them to quit shooting people and committing violent crimes and start studying. These are facts. Look at the racial breakdown in our countries worst prisons, then we can talk.
Ultimately, the problem lies in the upbringing of children. While many parents emphasize studying, doing well in school and hard work, another culture glorifies the gangster lifestyle. Remove your blinders and take accountability.

Surely she doesn't ACTUALLY believe that LSU Admissions purposefully turns away black applicants? Baton Rouge is 55% black according to the last census, and what did it say their income level was? Should LSU lower their admission standards for minority groups just to up their numbers? (They probably already do, to an extent.) Then what happens when those kids can't pass the classes because they weren't smart enough to get in in the first place?
