On my drillship currently. Haven't heard of any of this. Big Red pays my bills too!

Exactly.
Let the landman pick the drilling and tank battery locations.

All good. WFH geosteering now.
Contemplate going back to MWD/DD occasionally but have a young un and we’re doing pretty good financially.
I do miss that field pay though

SLB lays off all the time. They do have lots of dead weight jobs at the corporate level. Sadly, the baws/bawettes in the field get cut first. I know from experience, but was glad to get out of Midland. Would want my worse enemy to ever live there.

They are throwing us a 15-30% bonus each month based on company profits. We hit the 30% 11 out of 12 months last year. Makes a big difference. Especially for the people with kids. It's too hard to find a planner. 99% of those that apply think it's that other kind of planner

If I had a dime for every time SLB asked me to move to Midland I could’ve retired instead of just quitting

Schlumberger lays off every 2-3 years.
It's no secret.
Upstream is volatile as frick.
Slb is the worst though.

Yeah that sounds like a damn good deal.
I just hated being in charge of all that shite. Also I didn’t want to move because I’m trying to MBRGA

Go to work tomorrow!
Look its not like the old days with dudes sleeping in their trucks. They have a Petssmart AND an Outback now!
I was out there a couple of years ago and the hand going out for a beer uni was hat (not a company hat!) with shades on the brim, t shirt, skinny blue jeans and running shoes.

I was there when they opened Little Woodrow’s and you would’ve thought they built a Disneyworld there

I've a got a boss. And a good one for once. We got 8 people. Half aren't that experienced. So on call once every 8 weekends and you got all the rigs. But better than when I was planning before when I had 15-18 rigs 24/7 for 2 years

I got told to move to midland by a coordinator that wasn't over me. I asked why he didn't live there. He shut up quick

Have some of their stock. Bought at $14.86. Currently at $41.45 but off a decent amount from 52 wk high.
