Magnesium supplements helped my wife's RLS quite a bit.

I don't know what kind exactly, but there are (legal) CBD Gummies that have resolved the issue for a good friend of mine. (One or two every night.)

CBD gummies that come from a legitimate place are the best answer. Many prescription drugs are ineffective, and if they are, it is for a short period, and then they no longer work.

Don't have restless leg syndrome, but do have itchy nutsack syndrome.
Real question is when you have an itchy sack, do you scratch the boys like you'd scratch your arm? Or do you do one of those pinch thumb and middle finger together and slide up and down against each other? The act actually has the same movement as Jonny Manziel money celebration. I itch my sack like Johnny pinches his money. 2nd Gif below is the pinching nutsack protocol operation in action.

fighting this for 10 years
I did as well. It was terrible, could not get to sleep. Stopped smoking and I started running (not a joke) and it went away. Completley. I have no clue why, only thing I can figure is Im too tired to be wrestless. May have been linked to nicotine somehow. Also forces me to drink less alcohol since you'd rather water after a 3 mile run than a glass of wine or beer. Go figure, stop smoking, drinking, and get excercise and you sleep better, right...lol.
Im talking old man dad pace too, Im not breaking any records. Couch to 5k, then just kept it up.

Do you guys have any home remedies that you use that helps. TIA.
I fold a weighted blanket draped over the portion of my bed where my feet are. The added weight gives me relief. When they act up again, I reposition to optimize the weight.

I'm sure I didn't have it as bad as some people on here, but years ago when my legs were hurting at night while trying to sleep...I started taking daily iron supplements and that cured it for me. I wasn't anemic but apparently, I was iron deficient and I guess RLS was a side effect.

Had it for years. Started taking a magnesium supplement about 10 years. No problems since. I take one called Bone Builder that also contains calcium and vitamin D, which help your body absorb the nutrients cirrectly.

Weighted blanket helps a lot. I fold mine a few times so it’s just over my feet and it’s pretty damn heavy

I’m sorry. You haven’t had it that bad. I am 47 and have had it for 40 years. I take gabapentin and Mirapex. It is pure hell without it. Have you stopped to think that others may have it worse than you and that you don’t have it that badly? In 40 years, I’ve never gotten “used to it.” I have punched my legs repeatedly in the middle of the night trying to get them to stop by giving a different sensation.

Maybe I am not a pussy. I dunno. Much worse things out there for me to worry about.
Sure, when I was a kid, it got to me. Flying or riding in the passenger seat still sucks. I fast walk 4-5 miles/day. That keeps it down at night (learned that with a ruck on my back way back in the late 80's).
I sure am not going to get on meds for it, especially narcotics. I am over it. The arthritis bothers me much more that the RLS.

Then maybe you are a wimp about your arthritis. I’m not actually calling you that, but I am pointing out that some people would say you are because of your arthritis comment. They would tell you to get over it. They have it, and it’s not that bad. I’m sure that would irritate you, and it should because their experience is not yours and diseases are different in different people. The same can be true of RLS. It can manifest to differing degrees in different individuals. Surely you can see that, right?

ended up with RLS augmentation
My issue as well. Only 2 things now give me relief - some form of oxy/hydro or THC gummies. Luckily I am only about an hour from the SE Michigan line so the gummies are fairly easy to get.
It most definitely affects your quality of life in a negative way. Exercise, weighted blankets or any covering for that matter, otc meds and extremities being confined all make mine worse both in intensity and episode duration. I can’t fight it, i have to move or flex my legs (or arms or hips or ankles) to get any relief when i have nothing to take.
