To the ladies and gentlemen of the OT:

Should you tip at a restaurant where you order at the counter and they bring you your food and clean off your table and dishes? You are responsible for refilling your own drinks.

It's by no means a dive, but it is also not Ruth's Chris. It's a moderately priced ($8-12 a meal) family restaurant. They use ceramic plates and metal silverware, so they're not serving food on disposable stuff.

I would leave a couple of bucks at the counter when I pay.

No much nicer than Waffle House. Very clean and quality food. It's italian food and poboys with some random family recipes.

Eh, probably just depends on mood. I wouldn't think bad of anyone for not tipping there, but also wouldn't mind leaving a buck or two on teh table either.

Wouldn't you tip based on the bus boy service at least?

I might throw a buck or two on the table if I had it but I usually don't have cash on me.

Like Jason's Deli? Leave $2 on the table.

He's probably talking about Anthony's on Government. Great place.

I was wondering this yesterday while at Voodoo. I'm assuming the workers there are not receiving server wages, so I tend not to tip as much at places like that.

No this is Hobnobber Cafe in Metairie. We go there for lunch at least once or twice a week. Awesome food!
