No you weren't. You were using the time tested message board approach of

1) Make illogical argument that doesn't stand up to scrutiny of any kind

2) Double down on said argument repeatedly

3) In response to mass call out, claim you were joking or trolling

4) Fool no one

Brilliant counterpoint.

Of course restaurants die all the time and all over the country. According to the article 60 restaurants closed in the 4th quarter in the Bay Area. The Bay Area has thousands of restaurants. How many normally close in a quarter? That's what they don't say.

You're smart, just not smart enough to see it. You could have just called it out as being a socialistic fairy tale and a pipe dream, but you didn't. You kept pounding a traditional capitalistic approach to convince me when I couldn't be convinced.

As Milton Friedman correctly noted years ago, minimum wage laws hurt the very people they are designed to help.

The libs got what they wanted....more unemployment and fewer tax dollars from small business... who woulda thunk it? But, a small percentage of workers can now buy real cheese.....good tradeoff!!!!!

whoops you caught me. Such a clever little boy. Maybe if you used some of that intellect you would see how absolutely retarded your statements have been in this thread.

Except what you're suggesting is hardly socialism. It's a ridiculous approach to try to fix a perceived (or hell, call it a real) problem by paying someone more than they're worth. Simple as that.

And the US isn't a traditional capitalistic economy.

on the plus side, no one making $15/hr can afford to live in SF, so those restaurants can be converted to housing for tech workers.

Your post history says otherwise.

Tell me more how a socialist and communist approach would be good for the average man. You have piqued my interest. I'd love to hear your reasonings on how such an approach, which has failed time and time again, would work. This time.

I could take a board exam for cardiology. But taking the test doesn't mean I know a thing about it.
