This part actually is pretty true, at least in terms of frequency-- I'd have to run the numbers but Norway and the Swiss are pretty unregulated and have had only one major mass shooting a piece, Israel is basically the same if you exclude smaller scale incidents. Here, for whatever reason- its a lot, lot more common- its probably not guns, its probably not popular culture (our entertainment is pretty ubiquitous--though violence on TV seems to be more heavily regulated in other countries for the most part-- sex is a lot less regulated); its not violent video games; there just seems to be something unique in the American culture that makes mass shooting more common (hell you can't even use the favorite dodge of some on the PT board and blame diversity-- a disproportionate number of mass shooters are white males).
