Rental cars: Suburban cost for a week?

Why would it be $2500?
Why are they so much more than a regular car?

I rented one for 4 days back in October and it was just over $600. $2500 for a week sounds like a rip off.

I will rent you my Tahoe for $1,000 or $800 if you change the back wiper blade for me.

I happened to be on Budget's website when I saw this and just did a quick week check on an SUV for you from the I-10 location.
250 bucks.
So you're doing it wrong

The price for larger cars always go up during the holidays but that price seems excessive. I paid that for a month long rental for a oneway suburban rental last fall.

I'll throw in the fronts, too.

Alamo out of NOLA has them for $999. Still a shite ton more than I would have expected, but better than $2500.

Yeah, I need to call them, I guess. I just did a quick check at National's website.
It was like $2499 for a Suburban.

Your boyfriend didn't hook you up?

That'd retarded. The monthly note on that car is probably $600 why would you pay over 4x that to use it for a week? Sounds like a rip off.

That is crazy. I used to work for a major car rental company and 3 years ago, you could rent one with all the insurance we offered for about a grand.

Join emerald club, rent a midsize last minute special through national at MSY. Jump in whatever full size suv is in the emerald executive selection. Sometimes they have suburbans, sequoias, expeditions. They won't ask any questions about executive vs. non executive. You'll be cruising for 15-20 bucks a day.
Thank me later.

Join Costco (I know they don't have one in Mandeville yet) and use their rental website. They get 40% to 60% off rentals every time through negotiated contracts. Use of the service comes with the store membership. I know people who rent a lot of cars that got a membership even though they don't have a store local. You could make back the $99 membership fee on this rental alone.

Where the hell are you renting from? I just did a quick check on Enterprise and they want about $1100 without any discount codes.

I think he said National, which would make more sense. Airport locations typically have higher rates.
