Book a second reservation for the aisle. Then cancel Alamo one after you pickup suburban at the midsize rate of available.

You have to book a last minute rate if it's available, which it usually is. If you rent a mid sized car or above, you can take anything.
Go to national at MSY before renting and see what's in there then book the last minute rate.
I've gotten tahoes for 19 bucks a day doing this at MSY.

when are you needing this? I just checked the site for last minute specials and nothing showed up, which is rare. Probably due to the holiday/sugar bowl.
I used to fly to MSY once a month and do this FYI. My friends thought I was retarded for renting these cars because they thought I was paying regular price.

Rented an Expedition EL 10 days for around $900 but that was with a corporate discount.
