Remote Work From Home Multiple Platforms - is is sustainable?

Quick background: I rent out a small townhouse and tenant is only 3 months into the lease. She was W2 at application time but after missing her recent rent, I asked her why and she talked about quitting her W2 employment for this match-making WFH freelance stuff.
Sure enough, she showed me her email inbox and there were platforms like Upwork and Slack all over her phone. Comcast sent her an invite to train for a customer service spot. She was only 3 days past grace period and promptly paid the late fee as well.
But my question to the OT, are these platforms gainfully sustainable and basically just a virtual W2 (40 hrs per week in the bank) or is this a house of cards that will come tumbling down?
I'm old school so my gut is telling me to pucker up as this will be a long road with this tenant, but then again who knows since things seem to be headed in this direction anyway?
OT's thoughts would be greatly appreciated and could someone explain what is this multiple platform stuff in the 1st place?

I’d say at least she’s trying. Work one 40-hour job or forty 1-hour jobs, I don’t care as long as the money is coming in.
Now if she becomes 2-3 months behind rent she is never catching up and that’s just the truth.

Why wouldn't it be sustainable? People can juggle more than one platform at once. I typically have five going and have been doing it successfully with the same job for six years now.

Upwork, in my experience, is a bunch of online freelance work
Not saying that’s the case for your tenant, though
If you’re asking if WFH is going to come crumbling down, no. It was growing before the pandemic and it’s on an upward progression that won’t be over corrected

Fair question: My first issue is that we're only 3 months into a 2-year lease and this was a major decision in her life that she didn't tell me in advance. A big part of my decision to approve her was the smile on her face at application time when she talked about her W2 job, how much she liked it etc.
As I'm sure you probably know, I had my pick of applicants in this hot market but chose her because of how much she appeared to have stability and a passion for her salaried position.

WFH positions are not going anywhere, and in fact they will probably become even more popular.
Upwork is pretty much all freelance type work. It wasn't for me, but if you grind at it and good at what you do, I dont see a reason why it couldnt be a dependable income.

I've never had anywhere near this sort of relationship with a landlord and quite frankly I find it strange.
I do understand being concerned about rent and asking about employment up front, but for me personally, what I'm doing for a job (or not doing) had zero bearing on my ability to pay rent and wasn't anyone's business.

You're not her financial advisor. As long as she gets you the rent (which she did), it isn't your business.
Hell, I've had rent checks come from me some months and come from my dad's checkbook other months when I was young. Nobody said a word to me because it isn't their business. As long as the rent came in within 5 days of the due date, nobody cared.
