Your list is solid but their flautas destroyed their taquitos

Friend,

I realized that shortly after submitting and edited it. I had forgotten what they were called. What is the difference between a flauta and a taquito anyway?

Yours,

Corn tortillas and “beef” for taquitos
Flour tortillas and “pork” for flautas

I think. It’s been a minute.

I’ve never been satisfied with Chile Renellos anywhere else. They always fall short compared to Panchos. I know part if that is the fog of memory but for my money they were the best.

Every time a Panchos closed people started noticing way more roadkill along the side of the road in that area.

Friend,

Thank you for your earlier post. I could find nothing in your list to dispute, it was your normal concise and well-organized offering. I also read your post script (about you only lasting about 45 seconds on a video game). Decorum will not allow me to reference what specific memory it brought back to me but it made me chuckle.

Thank you again for your time and your talent spent here.

Have a wonderful evening.

I remain your humble correspondent,

Very sincerely yours,

Mssr. Füt

One of the guys with us puked walking back to the car bc he ate like a dog.

This reminds me of a crazy "internet" story from the early 90s that happened at the location on Vets in Metairie. It's been over 25 years, so I don't remember exactly how the story goes, but I think it had something to do with a kid laughing so hard that he puked. When he got up he slipped in the puke and cracked his head open. He had to leave in an ambulance. I wish I could find the whole story. I remember high school me laughing my arse off reading it.

My kids love 2 Amigos.

I can’t handle it. Every time I try to eat it, I’m sick for 4 days

The last one I think may still be in existence is near Hobby. Saw it a couple years ago and hit it up for tacos and flautas.

Have you ever noticed that you very rarely see a dead dog or cat on the roadside in Avondale?

I believe there is still one on 45 in Houston. South of Gallery Furniture. At least it was a couple of years ago. I learned a valuable lesson. Never eat lunch at Panchos on the way to Baton Rouge. Thank god for Buc-ees in Baytown.
