Remember when some said 30 percent of Covid infected athletes would get heart disease?

Turns out it is 0.6 percent
“Using de-identified data from the six leagues, the peer-reviewed study published today found very few cases of inflammatory heart disease and that a return to professional sports following COVID-19 infection can be safely achieved using this return to play screening program. In this study of 789 COVID-19 positive athletes from across our leagues, evidence of inflammatory heart disease was identified in 0.6% of athletes. The study also found no adverse cardiac events occurring in the athletes who underwent cardiac screening and subsequently resumed professional sport participation.”

I’d bet at least .6% have underlying heart issues

There's a higher proportion of heart disease in the average American male than among those athletes.
Like so many other Covid related experts....they were apparently talking out of their arse to encourage more shutdowns and economic sanctions during an election year.

If you did extensive cardiac workup on any sick patient from anything you could find evidence of some low level heart damage in some of them.
Covid has completely warped people’s minds in regards to health
