I think that's the last time I actually agreed with the dems/protestors in terms of demonstration.
All our plights are classist issues, and the narrative during that point in time wasn't one of race but class.
I think I could tolerate the left more if everyone on that side finally opened their eyes and saw that the overarching "sjw" issues in life are all based around poverty and not sex/race.

For the most part, yeah. The media spun it that way as well until the msm handlers/advertisers pulled em back and went nope.

I was in NYC during that time. It was a bunch of hipster white kids sleeping in tents on public park spaces. From what I remember most of them had signs on the ground leaning against their legs while they looked down at their iPhones. They also stood in line at McDonald's to buy a coke so they could use the bathroom.
But they were taking a stand against Big Corporations...

I'd rather a bunch of docile brooklynites versus a city being burned. Especially not with a race narrative.
Poverty is an issue in this country that actually exists versus "critical race theory".

Coincidentally just after it ended there was a major shift away from that: wonder why

Exactly. I think the media, who actually covered it pretty extensively, scared the pants off of the advertising elite and owners of those media companies creating that class vs class narrative. Can't question the elites in political or media power.
They decided right afterwards to pit us against one another in a race war instead and the left bit into it hook, line, and sinker with the message of whitey being always at fault being the new narrative.

Well it wasn’t very big but I think there were people who understood the finance industry but weren’t apart of it realized the vast majority of people were about to get f*cked and then that’s exactly what happened.
Obama decided to bail out the banks and screw over everyone else.

while I agree that it was a peaceful protest vs burning shite down, their approach to fighting poverty was based around they felt like they were entitled to high paying jobs right from the start instead of working their way up from the bottom. Entitlement is the cancer of that generation.

That week was the most united the country was in years.
Funny how it was squashed like a cockroach.
The elites want the normal folks to stay divided.

Poverty in this country is cell phones, air conditioning and a 46-54 inch waistline.
