Also, why do you think that stopped?
Let it stop first and then I’ll think about why.

"The saying "naked as a jaybird" is a colloquial expression meaning "completely naked" or "nude". It's a vivid way of describing someone who is without any clothing. The phrase likely originated in the United States in the mid-1800s, possibly from an earlier version "naked as a fledgling jaybird". The "jaybird" part likely refers to the fact that young birds, including blue jays, hatch with little or no feathers"
That's pretty interesting and makes sense. People used to know a lot more about nature than they do these days, though some of their ideas were off base. Another interesting one I came across a couple of years ago:
But there is some disagreement on this, the alternative is:
Either one makes more sense than the modern meaning of bald.

quote:
The name "bald eagle" is derived from the old English word "piebald," which refers to the bird's distinct white patches on its head and tail, not a lack of feathers. Piebald literally means "having two colors" or "white-spotted". So, while bald eagles are not actually bald, their name is a descriptive term from their historical categorization.
But there is some disagreement on this, the alternative is:
quote:
The Bald Eagle owes its name to the Middle English term “balde,” meaning “white.” It does not mean “hairless” or “lack of feathers.”
Either one makes more sense than the modern meaning of bald.

You're a store brand el Gaucho. And I think you're a very unintelligent and unfunny person. Go read a book.
