prepare for downvotes from the Toyota truck nerds who think they are better looking than an OT 10 naked in their bed spread Eagle. They like their big clunky trucks
I'm not a fan of the look initially, but like with any truck it will look better over time. The 2015 Ford was ugly to most people when it came out, and the 2019 Silverado was chewed up on here, but the more you see them on the roads, the better they look. Will likely be the same here.
I do agree though, why make the grill that huge.

Let me introduce you to…
Rural america
Newly paved roads
Poorly maintained city streets and highways
The “off button” for lane assist
The screen is cool, but if that is legal, so should texting and driving

Were there any pictures released of this thing besides OP?

Not much. Still no pictures of the platinum which I suspect will have matching paint below the grill which will make it look less gigantic.

Not finding many images, but many car channel youtubers are putting up content they had queued up.
Here are a couple I watched which are short.

This. Every single time.

In that motortrend video they show the under seat storage for the rear seats. That was my most disappointing thing in mine coming from a F150 to my Tundra, only about 2" of clearance for storage. This one looks way better.

Thanks for updating this thread. I love the concept of the Ford powerboost but don’t really trust Fords reliability. A Tundra with this setup is intriguing

I can already say with more videos and images coming out, it is looking better to me.

I like the button for opening the tailgate. Composite bed is going to be nice too.

They aren't doing the power inverter currently, just a 110 outlet in the back for use. At least not that I have read.

The TRD version looks really weird although I like the giant infotainment screen. I know some of yall don't like how it's not fully integrated in the dash, and it will get heat for that in the reviews. But there's not much you can do with a screen that big. I like the look so far even though the interior as a whole feels a little more low rent than the others.
Can't say anything good about the exterior of the Tundra TRD. I don't like any of it.
This is an exterior and interior photo of the 2022 Silverado ZR2. I think this is my favorite off road truck now, and I think it's a step or two above the TRD in capability....but also likely more expensive:
I am a huge Toyota fan, but I also like GM trucks and I think I prefer the horizontal screen layout of the interior of the new Chevrolets. I also prefer a 6.2L V8 over a turbo/hybrid combo of the Toyota. Although I know both are excellent powertrains.
The other versions of the Tundra look better, but they still have a strange front end.
Toyota sort of copied Ford's hybrid powertrain setup with the turbo V6. That engine has had some issues with Ford, but I think Toyota is the industry leader in powertrain durability and hybrid technology. So I wouldn't worry about it in the Toyota. I do wish they kept the 5.7L V8 as an option. The fuel efficiency would improve with the new 10 speed automatic.

Looks are subjective but Toyota drastically improved the interior, looks like a nice place to be. That new Chevy interior is much improved as well…had no where to go but up from the very bottom. Chevy def looks less “GM parts bin special” but still doesn’t top the Toyota’s. Too many small buttons.
Also, the zr2 exterior looks good…this is a top of the line truck though designed to keep up with the Raptor. the regular ‘22 Silverado looks a little awkward, the front end looks too much like the Chevy Traverse crossover.

The TRD version would look better in black. The interior is still disappointing though, but they have a lot of nice new tech to keep it somewhat competitive with Ford and Chevy.

I’m fine with that. I’m watching the TFL video now on it. 3.5L TT V6 with an electric motor sandwiched between the engine and ten speed transmission……everyone shits on Ford and rides their coattails at the same time.
Check back with all new trucks after their owners put 150,000 miles on them. No one is riding Ford's coat tails on maintenance costs and long term durability. Especially not Toyota.

I think I’m sold on the TRD Pro

Just realized it has their version of backup assist, and the rear camera appears in the rear view mirror.

its hilarious how the fanbois, for every manufacturer, just eat up this ugly shite.
