Lil' serious topic for a nice Wednesday evening. And yes, the weed is good
Regret gets a lot of credit for being the worst thing to feel on your deathbed. But what about resignation?
You ever feel like everyday you live you're just going through the motions? Essentially running on a treadmill...working hard but not going anywhere? And, for some reason, you aren't motivated to do anything about it?
Some would call it being "content". Once you accept that you're content, you've essentially resigned from pushing yourself for anything greater. You're happy running through the motions and running on the treadmill.
So is regret really that much worse than resignation? The feeling of regret comes with choices, decisions, action or inaction. Resignation? It comes with nothing but the status quo.
I'm not feeling resigned (yet), but with 2020 being 2020, I can understand how easy it would be and how painful it would be to look back on.

Outstanding gif replies wasn't really the goal but, as usual, the OT comes through

There is a significant difference between being content and being stagnant.

Why is this stickied?
I feel resigned. No matter how much I struggle to change my fate, I end up in the same place, much like Bill Murray in groundhog day.
