First- Make sure Your evaperator fan is running at the proper rpm on the fridge side.

Not on his fridge, he has one of those new fangled dual evaporator units. Not like a sub zero with two compressors. It has a metering device which routes the freon to the proper evaporator.

Refrigerator repair - fridge not working but freezer is fine by ChEgradI'm not Napolean, but my side-by-side was like that and I had to unfreeze the coils in the inside rear of the freezer section. The ice was blocking airflow to the refrigerator side. Probably the ice built up when the door was left ajar or power outage, etc.

Seems like every brand gets similar ratings except Samsung, notable shitty outlier.
Anything in the Whirlpool family is fine.

Looking further if it's really iced up it can be a defrost system failure. You have a heater and thermostat in your fridge as well.
This is a really hard model for a DIYer to work on.
I can send you the pdf manual via email.
There is a good bit of ice behind the panel so I suspect it is a defrost system failure.
The fan is turning so I think my plan will be to change the thermostat and maybe the sensor.
If I get in over my head do you have anybody you recommend in BR?

Lamb's appliance repair.
Defrost it with a hairdryer and replace the sensors, but be warned it's like next to impossible to remove that back panel without damaging it.

I had a similar problem on mine and it was a problem with the fan in the freezer that moves cold air to the refrigerator. The blade had fallen off of the fan so no air was moving. It was pretty easy to pull the back out of the freezer and reattach the fan. My fridge wasn't a Samsung FWIW. Action Appliance Parts on N. Foster was a lot of help and would have any parts you would need. I imagine they can recommend a good service company too.

Your unit has separate cooling systems for the refrigerator and freezer. So the freezer working has zero bearing on refrigerator operation.

Had to replace the defrost heater on my fridge (whirlpool) a couple months ago. Was having same symptoms as you. I tried defrosting but that only helped for a couple of days.

Had to do the same thing to mine once.
