This request is for a non-internet connected family member diagnosed with chronic kidney disease(ckd). There are other age related issues but this is the biggest one.

Any direct experiences/recommendations will be appreciated.

TIA

My top choice would be John Higginbotham.

Ive been out the dialysis game for 2 decades but when he came on the scene he was young and hungry and seemed to give a shite about the patients unlike the conglomerates that partner up with the big providers.

So he doesnt own his own center in opelousas anymore on prudhomme?

Nah I’m pretty sure he gave all that up when he moved to Texas. He was a good Nephrologist though.

Why would you not ask your PCP - or that of the family member ?

"Why would you not ask your PCP - or that of the family member?"

Fair question as that was the first step taken prior to the recent consult with the specialist. So been there, done that. After discussing that 1st visit and the reference checks I've performed, the decision was made to look at other specialists.

So here I am asking the OT for help. Thanks for asking. Maybe you can provide a name? Any help would be appreciated.

Also, bump for the day crew.
