I'll pay my traffic fines, as soon as you either
A. Accept that my FQ camera system was viable
or
B. accept that Uber is superior to Taxi cabs.
(now I think you get why I like to park where I can see my truck )

I ignore all traffic tickets. No consequences for me yet but I'm a millennial so the car is in my dad's name.

I got a photo speeding ticket in gretna in summer of '13. Didnt pay it. They sent it to a law firm (which is a collection agency) who contacted me beginning of '14. I responded with a validation of debt request. They sent me a copy of the original ticket. I responded with a cease & desist letter.
Well I notice about 3 months ago that they had filed a collection item on my Transunion credit file. I disputed that item with Transunion telling them I never did business with or agreed to owe money to the city of gretna. 30 days later, transunion deleted it from my credit.
Moral is (if you won't be booted by the issuing city, IE city of new orleans) dont pay the ticket. Dispute with credit agency when they file a collection item.

If you have gone to the link that was on the bill they sent you then they know you have received it. Otherwise they cannot prove you have received it.
They are not legal according to this LA RS Code 32.365 (B)

used to be my Mantra. I ignored court too.
Wasn't fun when that caught up to me. Every fine was basically doubled.
So now I just don't break any traffic laws except for speeding, and then only when I'm not the fastest car.

picture taken at 11:45 today.
This is a straight up cash grab. I bet at least 30-40 tickets were probably issued in the time that light was wrongly on at $110 a piece. If only 5 people pay it they still bring in $550.

In Florida it's even more of a money grab.....If you don't pay the company that administer's the red light camera program, sends a notice to state DMV regarding this & when you go to renew your plates/registration, won't let you do so until it's paid.
Same with toll violations....f'ed up.
