Corinthians, serious question, you make some interesting points, however I think we all agree that the vast consensus of scientists in the 1970's expected an imminent ice age, they were wrong, how do we know we are right this time?

Also, you know 4 times as many people die a year from being too cold versus too hot- maybe warming is a good overall thing- this is not a one factor thing is it?

Thank you

I haven't updated in a while. This Summer wound up being the 53rd hottest for my area.

This is gonna blow your mind but there is more than 1 climate in the united states

I'm in the green part on your map and this Summer was nowhere near the hottest on record for me.

Only by transferring money to The State so that they can transfer it to an elite Ruling Class can we solve this problem.

Not sure on the first part. I think people should be careful when predicting how extreme the effects will be. The overall disruption of weather patterns could have some effects that we are accounting for.

On the second part, I could see it being possible that a warmer overall climate improves things for many people. The main problems stem from having to relocate all of our cities near coastlines with rising sea levels, but it wouldn't be the first time that has happened.

It should be less catastrophic for humans that the earth warms a few degrees than an ice age.

It's my hope that technology/human ingenuity can mitigate the worst effects.

They are already taking all of our money. They won't use it to fix anything though. They'll just build safe havens for themselves.

No one has ever apparently told these morons we’re in a cool phase atm, and it’s going to warm up considerably at some point with man being completely unable to affect it.

Is man contributing slightly to the warming we are seeing atm, sure. Is man causing it, no of course not

If the computer climate sims have any validity, any warming that takes place will be toward the poles with little or none toward the equator.

In climate history, warm eras have been fecund with life. Ice ages are the killers.

Thanks Corinthians, nice to have some open talk on this I a more in the Bjorn Lornberg camp but think we all want to do the right thing for future generations- just tough to evaluate all the factors and remove the real from the bs
