I've seen a certain history podcast recommended a couple times before and I thought I bookmarked it. Can't find it or I didn't in fact bookmark it.

Any Recs are appreciated. I can appreciate most things.

Probably Hardcore History with Dan Carlin. Really good one.

I always have trouble recommending podcasts because what someone might like is so subjective outside of the biggest ones that everyone knows about.

Consider me new to podcasts. What are some of the biggest and best?

Jocko Podcast.

Jocko Willink generally does military history book reviews or interviews with veterans who have gone through extraordinary events. He focusses the discussions on history, leadership and discipline.

I have no military connection, but the pod is awesome.

Anybody ever listened to Business Wars? Saw somebody recommending that on a Facebook thread and it looked somewhat interesting with a lot of content. 5 or 6 30 minute episodes on things like Ford vs Chevy, Blockbuster vs Netflix, PlayStation vs Xbox, Fender vs Gibson.

BBC - Desert Island Discs -- A celebrity is interviewed and plays their favorite records. A lot more interesting and entertaining than it sounds. On the air since 1942. 500+ episodes online -- I've listened to about 40-50, including Paul McCartney, Randy Newman, Mel Brooks, and even Field Marshall Montgomery (from 1969).

In Our Time -- BBC History roundtable discussion

BBC Podcasts -- the BBC still makes great radio documentaries, especially Radio 4

I really enjoy Radiolab.

Some really fascinating science topics.

They are left leaning politics wise and do best when they stick to science.

I’ll just give a few per category:

High profile podcasts: Corolla, Rogan, Conan

TV/Movies; Bald Move, The Rewatchables

True Crime: Generation Why, True Crime Garage, Small Town Murder (True crime with a comedic twist)

Random topics from serial killers to aliens; Last Podcast on the Left

ETA: Last Podcast on the Left just finished a three parter on Bonnie and Clyde and it was fantastic. Recommend to everyone. Learned a lot that I’d never known about.
