The only thing Mingo has ever spent $400 on is Taco Bell food.

I do, which is why I'm getting them a fairly nice watch for their wedding. I'm not spending $500 on a gift for someone I don't know well.

I bet you aren’t even in the wedding

I'd get a Movado in that price range. Maybe throw another bill at it:

Are you buying both the bride and groom each a watch? Or are they going to have to share it? Who the hell buys a wedding gift for just one of the persons getting married? If you’re going to spend $500 on a wedding gift it should be something for both of them.

Unless you’re the one getting married and youre buying your future husband a new watch. Then that would make sense.

It's going to be from a couple of the groomsman and I'll get them some bullshite toaster or whatever too. I'll get a gift for the wedding and this will be a separate gift from a couple of us that have been friends for a long time for the groom.

This is what I've done for every wedding I've been in and it's been well received. Typically we've given it at the tool shower or wedding shower or whatever applies to that particular wedding.

why don't you get them a clock for their mantle above the fireplace? We always get new watches and if his wealth grew he would probably demote it down his line of wearable watches

ETA: Try something by Howard Miller. They are beautiful and timeless

What kind of shite friend are you bro? Don't buy the guy a $500 watch, he's getting married not promoted. Buy him a $500 hooker.

yeah I can tell, and I'm in my 20s. Our best friend got married and all of his groomsmen pitched in and got him and his wife a Howard Miller with a plate attached to the removable back with all of our initials on it.

If you are that uneducated about watches, why would you spend that much on one? Educate yourself and answer your own question. Watches are personal choice. Not what someone on this site recommends.
