This happened to me 6 months ago. The OT recommended the Cottman on Sherwood Forrest cost 2500.

What year van?

Go to a Honda dealership. They know of the problems and will usually work with customers.

(I worked for Honda for a short time and saw it done all the time).

Louisiana transmission on plank road is really good. Not the best part of town, but it's a family owned business that has been around for 30 plus years and they are just good people. You won't regret it

Van is a 2001
I ran the scanner. It showed two codes:
P0740 torque converter clutch circuit malfunction
P0780 shift error

Think I'm going to flush and change out the solenoids and keep my fingers crossed

Do you think it would last at least a few months by doing that?
It shifts fine from 1 to 2, and on.
It just doesn't want to go from Neutral to Drive (1st gear)

Tabony transmissions in Denham on Florida. Good honest people and one of the best transmission guys in the area.

Nope, every time I stop then give it gas to go, it just revs high.
Reminds me of the higher stall converter on my old Mustang except it never grabs. The van might as well be in neutral.

Once I let off the gas and it returns to idle, it will start going, but with shaking.

1st to 2nd shift is fine, 2nd to 3rd is fine.

It's a 2001/2.At this point, I'm thinking I'll spend the $2,500 as a down payment on something newer. I was just hoping to stretch it a few more months.
