Has anyone had the buttermilk drops from Manhattan jacks on prytania? YUMM! I Never wake up on time to get them before they are sold out, so I end up settling for the bear claw- which is absolutely divine as well.

Buy her custom earplugs- Schedule an appointment with an audiologist & they will take her impressions and let her pick out colors. She'll be impressed

I bought a few smaller pots for my dad's birthday a few years ago. He seems to love them. I see he uses it outside on the grill all the time or inside when making hommade BBQ sauce or baked beans on the stove. I don't notice they cook any differently than a magnalite on the stove. They are particularly nice since they keep whatever is inside them hot if it's hot or cold if its cold- I think that's the selling point for them.

My husband and I ordered take out once. We were not a fan. I can't exactly remember why we didn't care for it. We were not only unimpressed, but had to force ourselves to eat our dinner. We were pretty disappointed considering we live a few blocks away & was hoping for a good new take out restaurant.

Louisiana transmission on plank road is really good. Not the best part of town, but it's a family owned business that has been around for 30 plus years and they are just good people. You won't regret it
re: Tinnitus Sucks Remedies Needed

Listen to coater, tinnitus retraining therapy is a great way to go if sound machines aren't masking it enough. Only make an appt with an audiologist if it is debilitating. Let me know I you need a rec for an audiologist that works with a lot of tinnitus patients-

North Cape international is the best quality brand for outdoor furniture. Sometimes Frontgate carries that brand, but I'd look at the NCI website to really scan through the different styles & fabrics.

re: Crawfish in Lafayette
Posted by El AlterEgo on 4/24/14 at 2:39 pm to LSU0358
Take a little time out of your evening and make a short drive to Abbeville. Cajun claws is bomb. I'll be leaving New Orleans this weekend for festival intl. and will be making a pit stop there. If you don't wanna go that far, crawfish time in Lafayette is pretty good too.
re: Acousitc neuroma aka benign brain tumor
Posted by El AlterEgo on 3/24/14 at 7:35 am to NatalbanyTigerFan
I hope the surgery goes smoothly. It is a fairly easy surgery (they can do with under local anesthesia with you awake or they will put you down if you'd prefer) and an acoustic neuroma rarely turns into anything malignant, so you don have anything to worry about! Glad it's the cause of your tinnitus and vertigo so you don't have to live with controlling that for the rest if your life!

Generally not a big deal.. They will monitor the growth via MRI before determining whether or not to remove. Has it had any effect on your hearing or balance systems, yet?

re: Driving Around Upt NOLA?
Posted by El AlterEgo on 1/29/14 at 9:27 am to oVo
It was a ghost town last night around 4:30pm and 11pm. A few places were open- breaux mart, boulingy, bulldog...etc but there wasn't anybody on the roads. Funny part: it was just cold weather, no ice on the road or anything. People are crazy.
