Culture High is probably the best new documentary.
It covers drug laws, goes into the history/future of them, and explains the economy of private prison systems and local governments keeping excuses to straight up steal from people. It's intense.
Seriously, if you like dogs, maybe skip the first scene. It's footage of a DEA raid of someone's house. The stories and conversation are awesome throughout.

Nixon by Nixon: In His Own Words
Was on HBO. A very sobering look at just how corrupt politics are even at the highest level. Scary.

The franklin cover up. A horrifying story that was covered up by rich and powerful people. It is on YouTube. Was supposed to air on discovery a while back but the powers that be yanked it before airing.

Dear Zachary was definitely so intense. It plays out like a movie, you can't believe this is real life and not scripted.
Could not watch

The Imposter is wild. Just a super crazy story about a French adult who faked being a kidnapped Texas teen.

I made the mistake of watching it. It was over a year ago, and it still haunts me. I wish I had never seen it.

What's it about?
Hard to get into but basically a child prostitution ring for a bunch of rich businessmen and politicians in the 80s in Nebraska. I urge everyone to see what true evil and corruption looks like.

Yep. I'm in process of reading the book. The documentary gripped me so hard, I had to learn more.

Beware Ginger Baker
Tells the story of Baker, drummer for the band Cream. It's much more than that, and so is he.
Shut up little man!
I can't even explain this one well... It is about some guys who audio recorded their crazy neighbors for years.
