Good for her I guess, but I don’t understand the end game here. You’re 76, a billionaire heiress with no heirs of your own, and now already own two professional sports teams and a slew of businesses around town. Why TF are you going to bother buying 5 more car dealerships?

I think the plan is they all go in a trust, and have to be sold off within 5 years.
Proceeds of the various sales all go to local charities and causes, with a huge portion going to Archdiocese

How damn hard is it for these auto empire guys to write a concise will?
The problem here was he had too many wills... three different ones were being contested in court.

Gayle’s been adamant that she wants the team to go to the city/state. Should be interesting.
Just wait till the Archbishop starts voting at NFL ownership meetings...

1) Because why not
2) To create more future wealth for the archdiocese
3) Becuase it makes her feel closer to deceased Tom, as car dealerships is how he got his start.

Yeah, that kinda makes sense, especially number 3 I guess. Just odd (probably just to me) for someone that wasn’t known as a mover and shaker to be buying companies this late in the game.

She was a raggedy, golddigging pos.
She might hold the international golddigger title.

Teams will be held in Trust with Lauscha and Loomis as the heads of the Trust.
They have to be sold within 5 years.
All of Gayle's proceeds will go to various NOLA area charities with the Archdiocese getting the largest portion.
They aren't going to have the Archbishop in Ownership

I'd say Lauscha is running the show. He's @54-55, probably thinking he'll be in a position to run things when Gail croaks. The NFL isn't letting the Diocese or the state own the team, has to be an individual. Will be interesting.

Maybe she is power hungry and making up for lost time?

Correct, but it's fun to think about LOL.
If I had to guess, Dennis would be the owner representative.
Which is also why fans thinking she's gonna fire Mickey and Dennis are delusional...

I wonder wtf really happened between Tom and his kids.
It's a tale as old as time.
Generally, whoever wipes the arse of a person as they lose their physical and mental abilities, gets their shite.
Gayle moved in at the perfect time, and she convinced a 9yo Tom to distance himself from everybody else in his life over a few years. After this was done, she could make the decisions, and she did.
50yo women moving in on elderly, successful men is a good career.

Interesting story. He's a finance guy (CPA by trade) who basically came to work in the finance dept of the Saints and ended up becoming a trusted man to Benson.

When do Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Windsor come to town to get to know her?
etc.
etc.

Are there any provisions that whomever the team is eventually sold to is required to keep the team in New Orleans ? Anyone know ? Becuase if there’s nothing ironclad, i dont see how the team isnt eventually sold to someone who moves it .
