So I could lose 30 pounds and be in the lower end of the normal BMI range? Yes! I've always been concerned with my weight, even more so since since I gained about 10 pounds last Fall. I will be eating healthier and exercising more regularly and longer next school year. I was told that I look healthier, but this chart has me teetering on the line between normal and overweight, which isn't bad but could be better.

BMI chart is trash.
Each person has a different body type and therefore gives a little one way or the other
My doc told me he hasn't taken BMI seriously since the 80s

I posted a pic of myself on the food board when they were arguing over bmi. I think I'm like a 28.5

Yeah that chart says I borderline on obesity. I highly doubt that when I wear a 33. I may be a lil overweight. No where near obese.

I'm not surprised about Colorado. The food sucks there.
Basically, the fattest states all have something in common: good food.

go to europe and you will realize how fat americans really are.
I worked with a bunch of Europeans and they were surprised that we weren't fat. We are potreyed to all be fat fricks over there. Now, we have more disgustingly fat people, especially down here in the south, but I feel the average person is just like the average European.

I am 5'9" 205. I am obese
If only TD had a workout board.

Stupid chart is stupid.
When I was in the best shape of my life I had a 6 pack and was boarder line obese according to that.

If you are heavier your heart has to work harder. It doesn't matter if it is muscle or fat.
You swole guys need to skinny up.

They must not be counting illegals or something, because Texas is the land of fat people.

Do you even lift bro?
I'm pretty sure this chart is for those that don't have a true workout regimen for gaining muscle mass. If you don't workout, this chart is telling the truth.

Bottom line is everywhere in the south is fat because of the good food
Texas with the meat and Tex Mex
Louisiana with all the Cajun and creole and drinking
Bible Belt has the traditional soul southern food
Plus most poor people eat like shite and don't work out so that explains Louisiana to South Carolina.

Everyone on the OT apparently has an "athletic" build. I forgot this place is full of former world class athletes who would be pro if it wasn't for that knee injury senior year

People in Colorado are more active than most states. Especially in the spring/summer/autumn. You will walk or ride a bike to places you would normally drive in the south. The weather places a big part but the infrastructure is also a big contributing factor.
Who wants to ride when you can walk and take in the great scenery the Rockies have to offer?
