For those of you not in the loop here’s the description from the website...
Also here’s his YouTube if you need to catch up...
LINK
The guy, Peter, who is making this is an absolute joke. Dude is making this aircraft so half assed I genuinely worry for Justin and Elliot if they attempt to take this aircraft airborne tomorrow. Peter is saying Vr is 85kts with only a 3 degree pitch due to the fact he has zero fricking clue what pitch angle will cause a prop strike due to his dumbass design. Investors have been dropping left and right.

The Raptor is an extremely spacious 5 place, pressurized, composite aircraft with a 62" wide cabin with a possible top speed of 300 knots that can cruise at 230 knots true on 7 gph of Diesel or Jet-A. It will come equipped with an optional BRS airframe parachute, constant speed propeller and anti-lock brakes. It's a luxury SUV for the sky.

So your saying it’s about as real as your private airplane?
Posted on 5/31/20 at 9:03 pm to OleWarSkuleAlum
You know what they say about incel dudes that talk about pussy all the time?
I think it applies to planes too.

We already have a Raptor and it’s the F22 gd it.

None of your pictures are this.
Your post is fake news.
ETA: I would say that plane is the most fearsome thing you can see in the sky, but you'll never see it, and just be dead.

Man, it amazes me that even after 20 years the F-22 still looks like something out of a science fiction move every time I see it.

Unless the certification requirements and costs are dramatically reduced it is unlikely we will attempt to certify the Raptor. Also, we'd like to keep it experimental so owners can save money and down time on annual inspections.
For $130k, no thanks and insurance might be difficult with the VW engine.

Experimental is where you want to be anyway. None of the bullish!t $40 o-rings found on cessnas.
That plane for $130k would sell all day every day. A vans Rv-10 is about the only thing close in a 4 seat experimental and it isn’t as big as the raptor, isn’t as fast, doesn’t run on jet-a, and you will be north of $200k to build it yourself. Vans is aluminum and I’d rather build that than fiberglass, but there are plenty of lancairs out there that people learned to work fiberglass on.

Are y'all plane people telling me that I can legally go fly shite without a pilot's license?

The Audi 3 liter TDi doesn't meet my desires for reliability in a car so a single-engine aircraft with it would be a no-go for me.

Yes did you not know this? That’s why people buy light sports when they fail their medical lol

The engine is absolute shite and Peter refused to even consider any alternative. The first flight is potentially today and he still doesn’t even have the glow plug timing correct. The guy is a complete idiot.

You can fly a light sport plane with a light sport license. Not “no license”. It only takes 20 hours of flight training instead of the required 40 for a private pilot license. A LSA license does not require a medical sign off but it does require a license.
Light sport aircraft can’t go over 120kts and have to weigh less than 1320lbs. There are other requirements but those are the main ones. No clouds and maybe no night flight but don’t quote me on that one.

Bruh you can get an LSA certificate in about a week. It’s essentially no license, semantics.

You can get a drivers license in a day. Doesn’t mean you can go fly without it. Having a license or not having one is not semantics.
Go play in your imaginary plane.

The fact you keep calling it a license and not certificate tells me all I need to know.
Posted on 6/1/20 at 7:42 am to OleWarSkuleAlum
You have now defined the term “semantics” that you used earlier. License vs certificate.
Having a license/certificate/whatever you want to call it versus NOT having it is not semantics.
Owning a cirrus vs not owning one is also NOT semantics.

I know absolutely nothing about airplanes.
But, it'd be sweet af to be able to go take off in the backyard when I get bored.

I prefer my Raptors to have truck nuts
