From what I've read, this guy's crew was involved in some pretty shady stuff. I admittedly don't know much about the rapper in question, but Lupe Fiasco is on record criticizing Capo's crew, the Glo Gang, as being dangerous and one of the reasons the South Side is a freaking war zone. That's coming from another rapper. I'm not actively cheering his death but it'll be infuriating to see him celebrated like some artist of value while the toddler gets ignored.
